A couple months ago we made the decision to leave California. We sold the mini-house and purchased a McMansion in Mansfield, TX on an acre with a pool. Best decision we ever made. Nothing like tripling how far your dollar goes. Unfortunately there are waiting lists for hangars here so the plane is still in CA. I’ve got a lead on a nice hangar at Arlington Municipal but have to wait for the owner to make a final decision and it could be a few more weeks. Not being able to work on the plane is tough as building an airplane is relaxing, challenging and stimulating. It’s a big hole. In the mean time I’ve filled it with mowing the expansive lawn (riding mower of course) but that’s getting old as it’s not really very challenging riding around, cutting grass, drinking a cold beverage.
