I did not like the way the Red Cube was installed so I modified it and got rid of the aluminum shelf. It’s free floating with the fuel line coming from the mechanical pump clamped to the engine mount with two adel clamps. This allows some movement and is much better. I won’t worry about the aluminum shelf cracking.
I will clamp the fuel line from the Red Cube to the fuel Servo to the intake tube with two adel clamps, as soon as I get one the correct size to go around the intake tube. In the picture below it will be the second intake tube or the one furthest away.
Another picture of the free floating Cube. It can now rotate slightly when the engine moves and there is a longer run of hose, hence more flexibility.
Finished laying up fiberglass on the showplanes canopy. Time for a bunch of micro and sanding.
