I wasn’t happy with the way the mixture bracket turned out on top of the sump/engine flange instead of below the flange per plans and so after reviewing a few photos online of what others have done I decided to grind away some material where the ominous black plug interferes. It came out ok and there is plenty of material left. After adjusting I can get full travel of the mixture lever to both stops. About 3/16″ was removed. Cotter pins not installed yet in photos below.
Throttle bracket painted with high temperature automotive engine paint.
Painted the oil cooler duct with same high temperature automotive engine paint.
Drilled the oil door in place. Lots of work to do here to make a perfect fit.
