We finished installing the avionics shelf but no pictures. Straight forward installation of the GMU 22, installed as many have before me. There is adequate access if you are a very small person if you have to get it out for servicing. Made a little shelf out of .040 and bent the sides up for stiffness. I installed it with the side upwards as it’s a little stiffer that way instead having the sides face downwards and chopping off part of the sides so it lays onto the longerons. Made sure the GMU 22 points perfectly straight and perfectly perpendicular to the HS by placing a level against the little posts on the installation ring and measuring to the rear of the HS.
Heated up the plastic static line and forced it onto the plastic T. I’ll run the static line forward after painting the interior.
