It took four tries but I finally got it the way I wanted, sort of, read on.
- Leftmost attempt – aluminum, just getting dimensions, bend lines and rough shape.
- Second from left – aluminum, bends are ok, a little short, holes off slightly.
- Third from left – steel, too short as I neglected to trial fit with all parts together at full travel.
- Rightmost – steel, perfect. Ready for primer.

Top view – I could remove a bit more material to save weight including a couple of lightening holes.
