I glued the baggage door top skin to the ribs, clecoed every hole and strapped it down on the fuselage. When the glue dries I’ll rivet the top skin on. Then I’ll glue and rivet the bottom skin in the same fashion. This is the glue I used. It takes 10 hours to cure.
The door is pretty much perfect at this point.
I trimmed the aft portion of the canopy so that there is a 3/4″ overlap on the fuselage. I keep putting off trimming the left side thinking that it will change location slightly when I rivet the hinge on.
Purchased this Fumoto oil quick drain. I’ll install it when I dump the preservative oil and fill with mineral oil.
