Primed and painted mold with high gloss spray paint. Let dry and covered with carnauba wax, liberally applied. Covered oil filter and placed mold in place. Here I have it taped to my swivel chair so I can spin it around while layering on the fiberglass.
All my fiberglass stuff in one place, ready to go. I ended up using four sheets of glass like you see below.
After it was glassed I placed some angles over the oil cooler flanges to make it nice and neat and square.
Let it cure and it popped off the mold with a little prying. That yellow residue is wax. I used too much.
While the duct was curing I tackled the front honeycomb rib which interferes with some items on the panel. Here I trimmed the area for the audio panel.
Here the AP gets a little cutout and you can see whats next to cut so I can get to my switches. I’m not relocating them.
