A little while ago my trusty in/lb torque wrench bit the dust.  Literally disintegrated.  So now that I’m putting the airplane together for reals I needed to replace it.  I found this Tekton wrench for under $45 on Amazon.  What’s amazing is it’s range of 10-150 in/lb.  It has the usual 4% accuracy when tightening which I’m ok with.  I’m pretty sure I can measure the torque on an AN3 bolt/nut by hand feel but it’s better to be accurate than lucky.  Markings are very clear and it’s small, lightweight and comes with a nice carrying case.

I need to stick an led light strip (blue and red) onto the lip on the underside of the panel in order to read maps, find glasses, etc.  I found this 3M VHB Heavy Duty Mounting Tape on Amazon as well.  It’s very durable with a temperature range of -35 to 90 C.
