Installed the elevators and set up my laser level to make sure both were perfectly aligned horizontally then clamped in place. Turns out they were perfect when clamped at the elevator weights. Nice to verify though.
Made a drill bushing out of hardwood in order to make sure I drilled the holes perpendicular through each horn. It was as wide as the space between the horns and using a drill press drilled a #40 hole through it. I started drilling with the aft most control horn and made a #40 hole per plans. Then I installed the wood drill bushing, clamped it in place and aligned the holes. Used a 12 inch drill bit and drilled through the other control horn. Came out beautiful.
I installed the pushrod and found that there is a bit of interference between it and the second to last bulkhead. Got a file out and fixed that little issue.
This should be enough clearance. I will dress the bulkhead when I remove the empennage.
