Deviated from the plans.  The dimensions of the old and new plans were a bit off and after further research I noted that some folks complained about alignment issues.  Referencing the last image above, in the plans the aft-most holes don’t line up with the second bulkhead like the way I have it drilled.  The holes align onto the skin further aft and near the end of the fuselage.  That rivet callout is next to the end of the aft bulkhead tabs making a good set difficult.  My stop is 1/4″ longer at 2 inches and taller at 1 5/16″ inches allowing me to easily countersink the bottom two holes.  The two aft holes are equally spaced above and below the existing rivet.  I have 1 1/8″ clearance between the elevator and the rudder at full deflection and have 70 degrees of deflection – 35 degrees each side.  Still need to drill to #30, countersink, be-burr and rivet in place.

One thing to check is whether there is interference with the rudder cable and rudder stop at full swing or whether the rudder cable will climb on top of the stop.  My stop is lower than plans by about 3/16″.
