Split the part into two equal pieces. You don’t have to be very accurate, there is plenty of material. I used a dremel which just melts the plastic. Don’t Do This! Just get a pair of good shears out and cut away.
Again here, waste of time with the dremel.
Sanded the edges with my table sander. Came out perfect.
