Part made per plans. This piece joins the lower cowl exit area firmly to the flange on the lower part of the engine mount.
The shiny aluminum part you see below is discontinued by Van’s. I don’t understand why since it is needed. I made one from .060. It’s attached to the engine mount with three screws and nutplates on the aluminum angle.
I wish these screws were countersunk but the cowl material really isn’t thick enough.
