Brett, Haley and I went to the California Science Center, first time for them, second for me. \u00a0Saw this. \u00a0Awesome.<\/p>\n

Two coats of epoxy on the lower and one on the top. \u00a0Spread epoxy with small foam roller the squeegied it and removed excess. \u00a0Light sanding with 120 in between coatings. \u00a0Top got it’s second coat later. \u00a0They are smooth and ready for paint and heat barrier.<\/p>\n

Vans 60 inch throttle cable is 3 inches too long. \u00a0I was hoping I could make it work but it’s a non starter and I will have to get one custom made. \u00a0Below\u00a0is the route it will take. \u00a0I’m also thinking about making the Red Cube aluminum shelf out of steel. \u00a0I’m worried that there may be too much movement of the engine\/fuel hose from the servo as the motor rotates during startup and shutdown. \u00a0The hose is captive and held tight to the engine only about 5 inches from the red cube. \u00a0I don’t want this breaking loose as it moves up and down slightly with the rotation of the motor. \u00a0Vans location on the 14 is ideal but that won’t work for me and I don’t want to put the Cube before the mechanical pump on the firewall and I don’t want to put it next to the spider. \u00a0It’s a compromise. \u00a0Some Red Cube installations are free floating, maybe that’s the answer – support the hose from the mechanical pump to Cube on the engine mount and let the Cube float. \u00a0I should have taken engineering. \u00a0Any engineers out there want to comment?<\/p>\n
