Retrieved the hose assemblies from Herber this morning. \u00a04 out of 5 were perfect. \u00a0One of them, the red cube to fuel servo, was completely wrong; wasn’t compression fitting, had a 90 where it should not have had one and was missing the integral fire sleeve. \u00a0No worries, they will have a new one ready tomorrow. \u00a0Still a good price so I’m definitely not complaining.<\/p>\n

Right front looking across and aft – this is the fuel line from electric pump to mechanical pump.<\/p>\n

Oil cooler line. \u00a0*Update* – I wanted to add a note about this oil line which runs from the back of the case to the oil cooler inlet. \u00a0I could have made a straight hose assembly 6 inches long and go direct from steel 90 to steel 90 but I was worried that there was no play or give in the line when the engine moves. \u00a0So I made the line 7.5 inches and added the flex you see here. \u00a0At approximately a 6″ radius bend it’s not too close to the 4″ radius minimum so it should flex ok. \u00a0The oil port on the back of the case is nearly in the middle of the engine so it should only rotate slightly and move in and out slightly. \u00a0That’s my theory. \u00a0If you know differently please speak up!<\/p>\n

Mechanical fuel pump to red cube. \u00a0Also fuel pressure (no insulation), oil line and electric fuel pump to mechanical fuel pump hose. \u00a0Lots going on here. \u00a0It will get even more crowded when four cable runs are here; throttle, mixture, prop and alternate air. \u00a0Oil cooler duct and oil cooler are bolted in place. \u00a0I can’t run the 4″ sceet tubing until I start on the baffles.<\/p>\n
