wide and 6&#8243; deep and the antennas are mounted as far forward on the shelf as possible so that reception loss by the top cowl hinge line is minimized. \u00a0I could have purchased the RV-12 GPS antenna shelf but I just saved $12 by making it myself.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image-20.jpeg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1516\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1516\" src=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image-20-700x525.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image-20-700x525.jpeg 700w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image-20-150x113.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image-20-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Antennas are installed with nutplates. \u00a0Wherever possible items are installed with nutplates, allowing for one handed installation and removal. \u00a0There is about a 1\/4&#8243;
