Taped the bulkhead and the aft fuselage skin with thin clear tape. \u00a0I don’t want fiberglass flox all over the place when I bond the aft honeycomb bulkhead.<\/p>\n

Mixed up a big 3 pump batch of fiberglass and flox and schmeared it all over the top of the honeycomb rib. \u00a0Once I closed the canopy and taped it in place I put a bead in the front with my gloved fingers then cleaned up any excess residue.<\/p>\n

We will see tomorrow how this turned out.<\/p>\n

Received my Skybolt fasteners. \u00a0I’m going to use two on each side on the very bottom of the cowl. \u00a0It’s a real pain to get those hinges out and they are always greasy. \u00a0I’ve removed the outer ‘ears’ to allow them to fit.<\/p>\n

Held in place with cleco clamps I drilled through the existing holes, countersunking them afterwards for the dimpled firewall edge.<\/p>\n

They look pretty good. \u00a0 Because of the spacing on the right side I added one additional drill hole into the shared tab of each fastener.<\/p>\n
