for a total of 33 holes. \u00a0I usually undersize the alignment hole when doing this kind of work, I should have mentioned that on page one. \u00a0Then mounted the canopy making sure everything was perfectly aligned. \u00a0I&#8217;ll sand for a paint relief later. \u00a0I can always make it looser. \u00a0Right side looks good but the lowest\u00a0portion of this section of the canopy will have to be cut at 3\/16 or more to allow the canopy to open 90 degrees without binding.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1207\" src=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-26-700x525.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-26-700x525.jpeg 700w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-26-150x113.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-26-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Front looks good. \u00a0In fact the fitment of the canopy to the skin all around the front is fantastic and will require very little work. \u00a0Very happy about that.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1208\" src=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-27-700x525.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-27-700x525.jpeg 700w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-27-150x113.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-27-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Back drilled the hinge to the canopy using undersized holes in hinge. \u00a0Some holes were blocked by the roll bar and were drilled when the canopy was removed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1209\" src=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-28-700x525.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-28-700x525.jpeg 700w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-28-150x113.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-28-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trailing edge of the canopy on the right side is going to need some work to keep it snug to the fuselage. \u00a0Afterwards I donned the mask and started sanding the inside portions of the canopy in preparation for bonding in the for and aft honeycomb bulkheads. \u00a0I miss having Pops here to help and I miss having my mom around the house.\u00a0 They both made it safely back to Michigan in between storms. \u00a0Unfortunately for them, there isn&#8217;t any Yakitori in Ludington.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1210\" src=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-29-700x525.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-29-700x525.jpeg 700w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-29-150x113.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/tondu.com\/rv8a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/image-29-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I got the hinge drilled to the canopy. \u00a0First I drilled the hinge per directions every 1 7\/16&#8243;
